A life lesson that I can make into a short story?

I think you should write about Japan. People say because of Pearl Harbour we shouldn't help them, which is a load of (excuse my language) crap. Pearl Harbour is in the past, and the poor people in Japan were'nt even involved. So I think you should write about how in times of crisis it's important for people to forget about what is in the past and take advantage of how much they can do to help. The world should come together when devastating things occur, not sit back and laugh saying you won't help because of something they're not guilty of anymore.
