Ok no newbies on this question!!!! i need help with my mp3 player?

ok this is what i want to do.. i have an mp3 player that supports picture files and mp3's and wma's and blah blah blah anyways i want to be able to run video files on it but i need to figure out what program i need to use to open .hex files because thats what the firmware is on the player i did some research on these .hex files it seems that you need a program called binhex to open them.. there is only 1 problem binhex was a program made for apples in 1985 so there is no chance in hell it will work on a pc i need a way to open the file and edit it and figure out a way to play media files on this little thing the mp3 player itself is a "truly mp310" their website is www.truly.net please help me with this it would be much appreciated
