Shingles how long does it last for?

hi my kids had chicken pox on the 2nd of may and i came down very ill aswell i had shiver very high fever aches was really unwell but no rash too suggest shingles,but since then i have had swollen glands chest infection and now i have eye pain and numbness down left side of face this is nearly 8 weeks on now can shingles last this long and do you think i may have phn and damaged the nerve in eye or something i read this can happen just no rash though very confusing
